Switchfoot will perform at Red Rocks on April 16 as part of The Calling ministry.

Switchfoot, the Grammy Award winning band, will hit Red Rocks on April 16 and only because of a young student at Colorado Christian University in Lakewood.

Chrysandra Brunson started a nonprofit organization — The Calling — as an outgrowth of a high school senior project. Brunson’s calling is making sure you know what you are called to do by living intentionally.

The Calling’s mission, as per its website: To inspire, empower and equip the Body of Christ to go after Jesus’ calling on their lives wholeheartedly. In other words, to find out what you are called to do in Jesus’ name during your time on earth.

The Calling’s conference at Red Rocks will also feature Chasen, former major-league player Rex Crain, The Transform DJS, and Lindsy Morton.

Crain turned to motivational speaking after he giving up a career with the Boston Red Sox. I guess he found his true calling.

Brunson proves that with intentional living anything can happen, as she
brings a major crossover rock band to headline this year’s Calling event.
