ESPN gives Switchfoot’s “Vice Verses” love

Switch­foot will per­form at the Boul­der The­ater on Oct. 7. The band will also per­form on Jim­my Kim­mel Live on Mon­day Sept. 19.

Sports and music col­lide on ABC/ESPN today (6 p.m. MDT.)

Dur­ing ABC’s broad­cast of the col­lege foot­ball game between No. 1 Okla­homa and No. 5 Flori­da State, ESPN (which owns ABC or vice ver­sa) will air five songs from Switch­foot’s newest CD “Vice Vers­es.” The crossover Chris­t­ian music artists, who will play the Boul­der The­ater on Oct. 7, will also get a chance to debut their video for the first sin­gle “Dark Hors­es.”

Along with broad­cast­ing some of the Gram­my Award win­ner’s album, which comes out Sept. 27, ESPN is stream­ing the new CD so fans can lis­ten to 11 songs from the CD on this site. Talk about a coup for the band.

But wait, there’s more… fans can enter the Switch­foot Fly­away Sweep­stakes for a chance to win a trip for two to the 2012 Rose Bowl in Pasade­na, Calif.
